The HSE Officer for MEP Construction is responsible for implementing and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs at construction sites & plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Compliance:
• Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, regional, and national standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
• Ensure that all employees are covered under ESI, PF, Medical Insurance.
• Get Health check ups done as a part of employee induction.
• Conduct Daily Tool Box Meetings.
• Obtain all necessary permits before commencing work.
• Check all tools and tackles and all PPE and tag them as safe to use.
2 Risk Assessment:
• Conduct risk assessments for MEP construction activities and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Work closely with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
3. Incident Management:
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
• Collaborate with relevant parties to develop and implement corrective action plans.
4.Training and Awareness:
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for construction site personnel, emphasizing safe work practices and emergency procedures.
5. Emergency Response:
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness.
• Collaborate with emergency services and local authorities to enhance emergency response capabilities.

• Coordinate with external parties for Emergency Vehicle use if needed.
6 Environmental Management:
• Monitor and manage environmental aspects related to MEP construction activities.
• Implement strategies to minimize environmental impact, including waste management and pollution control.
7 Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and incidents.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on HSE performance to project management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an HSE Officer in the construction industry, with specific experience in MEP projects.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
• Ability to conduct effective training sessions and communicate safety concepts to diverse audiences.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
